I am interested in the hows and whys because I want to see carriers better represented in the hobby. I feel there is a very real chance that carriers can be great novice builds, because the arizona cannon allows for just about anybody to build a carrier.<br />

So, construction aside, I think a carrier component to gameplay similar to convoy, but scored like the Austrailians...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[We missed you guys at the 5th annual North American Big Gun Open (NABGO).  Had a really good event, though.  Chesapeake Battle Group took home a bunch of medals this year  (Eric Kliever of CBG garnering Most Feared. Best Lookinbg Ship, and Best Engineered Ship, and Sieve Award, among others).  He also won a gorgeous AZ/PA hull from Strike Models.  Haven&#039;t done a talley yet to see which club took the most medals, but it may well have beeen CBG (and Rob Fristrom of CBG took the Spychalski...<br />

I plan to host a build session for all formats on Sunday June 22,<br />
starting at 9am, and lasting into the evening.<br />
All formats are welcome to attend.<br />
I would like to also have a captain&#039;s meeting for both the<br />
Midwest battle Group, and also Battlestations, so that we can get<br />
some sort of battle schedule put together for the two groups, take photos of the captains, and their ships, and such.<br />
My boatshop is approx. 20 miles north, and west of Dayton, Ohio.<br />

I am proposing that we add the 45 degree angle for hard area to our rules package.<br />
So the rule would say that....<br />
Impenetrable material may be used as hull skin on a ship’s bottom, but it shall end at least 1&quot; below the waterline, or more than 45 degrees down the turn of the bilge.<br />
<br />
Can all MBG members please post on this to show their support, or reasons for not supporting the change.<br />
This is a pretty common rule in most of the other clubs.<br />
