    Continuing on from my Intro,
I've got the basic running gear set up, I had to go direct drive on the servo motor, with the tiny prop it was far too slow on the gearing in the initial post
A standard cheap micro servo operates the rudder and a (I think) cd rom motor drives the pump, a home made affair similar in design to the old swampworks, with clear acrylic for the pump housing.
Spent most of the day trialing the pump, could get it to prime easily with no outlet pipe but as soon as tubing was attached it wouldnt prime until the water was over halfway up the motor

    Nick,

I find your use of animated icons for your response humorous in the extreme. Good show.

    Yours very cordially,

    Miller7D

PS: to nick_75au, we would LOVE to see pictures of your build! We really would!

Yeah right, being a forum veteran I should have known that, actually I thought for a moment I should repost the two pics on my intro post but thought oh well they will look at my intro.
More pictures will be added in due course.

Do sign-toting protesters normally have such big smiles?

Only here they do, because this is the only place where sign-toting protesters will get what they want and be satisfied. At least in theory.

They're not protesters, merely advocates of an increase in photography and the public release of those images :)

Do you have a small vent in the pump casing somewhere on the side?
To make sure the pump doesn't vapor-lock.

    Pictures as ordered, Sir:p
The pump has an ectra hole in the top view, but it obviously sprays water where I dont want it, It does work well as a bypass so the pump capacity is sort of near the flow rates in the rules. I want to make a smaller pump with less flow, p
