    Winter build project.
Tyler has been running one since 2009, great looking boat. The plans are high quality and should make for a fun build.

Lou, have I been influencing you with my bad habits?

    You would think. :)
Still can't figure out the stability issue in the Atlanta, so I did a sort on the shiplist and this one was the best for what I want to accomplish. At 11+ pounds, I should be able to use all the Atlanta gear in her with no issue. I want to battle more...

Sounds like a plan; Pete D has been furiously working on his Atlanta to resolve the weight issue. Hope to see him (and YOU) at the November battle. Can't wait to see your work on Duca d'Aosta!

    Hey Lou,

What hull are you using? Or are you scratch building it? It is a fine allied ship. :)

PS: didn't I see a laser cut VV hull on here a while ago. VVs with brushless power. Less fire, more power.

    Hey John,

Scratch building, and yes it will run allied ('43 version) :) Going to make her out of fiberglass board (no water proofing).
Greg has the VV on the build list, Clark is building one as well (because it was a new week and he had no new ship) - just kidding, who loves you Clark!

Lou, if you think I go a whole week before contemplating a new build, you haven't seen my shop :)

I did buy a second lasercut kit for when you come to your senses :) Or lose them :) :)

I remember Vanguard! Fun to build but I was NOT ready for one, battling-wise. Good lesson to learn :) Brian K and I periodically kick around the idea of doing 2 more with lessons learned but I think the temptation has subsided for now. Lou, you started the post! We want pics of progress! You can't hide behind that 'I have kids and responsibilities' thing forever!! ;)

    Hey Lou,

Where is the best place to get some of that thin fiberglass board/sheet material? I need to build two light-weight super structures and need something strong but light. Got any good on-line stores? Thin ABS would work but the store I got mine from before closed and I am SOL now. It sure worked great on the Barham. Seven years of battling and never needed a repair.

    Thanks Lou,
I found a few places that have the 1/16th ABS I used on Barney. I just have to check on shipping of a 4x8 sheet. They could always roll it up.
    thanks again, JB
