I found this collection of ship plans at the Internet Archive. The Excel spreadsheet on the collection is also a wealth of information. https://archive.org/details/ship-design-drawings Lots of stuff, several countries, civilian ships too. Take a look. -chris
Very nice find. Looks like there is 1078 ships available. So if you don't want to scroll forever to find something, I recommend you download the spreadsheet. https://archive.org/download/ship_design_drawings_indexv1 That way you can do some sorting to find what you want and then click the direct link to the ship page. I was considering doing a Victory ship. There are 11 Victory ships to choose from
Check back at this site every so often. It is continually being added to. Use a sort by 'date archived' to see what has been added recently. I just downloaded USS Oklahoma, and German Zestoyers 14, 15, & 16. Cargo ship galore, and a selection of DDs.
OMG... There are 2 sheets of the BB-67 - BB-71 Montana Class General Arrangement (1941) and not bare bones with little detaile, but actually good drawings. So... I downloaded both sheets.
Well, I'm the person behind the Ship Design Drawings collection on the Webarchive. Very pleased you've figured out yourself how to browse/search the collection and that you make good use of the spreadsheet. I try to upload a new version every 3 or 4 weeks. This summer I uploaded a draft for a tutorial on how to use the spreadsheet, it's the text that pops up in the viewer when you click here Follow or like my page on Facebook for the latest updates And yes, this is all for free. No adds, no account required And no, I'm not making any money out of this.... But feel free to donate to the Webarchive if you like what you get
