ok i have a quick question about impenitrability on a Mehoshi Maru, its about the solid area aloud at the aft section i know 1 inch is the max but i there a minimum? i've read Nick's topic in the plans section and i'm just trying to make it legal without having to leave out more ribs or moving and resizing what ribs i have left

far as i know, there is no minimum amount of hard area, but there is a min distance between hard areas. That was the problem I encountered. For my build I solved it by moving some ribs rather than reducing the hard area. If you're working off of my plans I believe the plans linked on my thread reflected that alteration.

one caveat on mine, I ended up cutting about 1/4" off the end of the skeg to make more room for the rudder and prop - I'm pretty certain this is not reflected on the plan sheet, you may find you want to make that modification as well, you may not
