Will you be doing these builds simultaneously or one at a time?

I am not sure yet Paul. I think some work will be done simutanouesly like Cutting out the hulls, shaft locations ect. Other work one at at a time. I go with what ever I can do in a given time barring distractions. It was not a good day. The Konig is a little slippery marking out the waterline. Rib locations was easy. So I will weigh the model down and float it in the tub to get the waterline.

For now I am marking out the hulls that will be used for Combat.

I think the boats to work on would either be Tennessee or Konig. I think for size and battling/transport it would be the best two to build this winter.

That's the Armoured stringer. I'ts 1/8 in thick. I am using this for Ircwcc/MWC type formats. My other ships for CWC-X will be used for that format and have 1/4 in or 1/8 in stringers. Prince of Wales for example will have 1/4 in stringers.

Why did you put a stringer in the very bow. The hull shape does not require a stringer. Once you get to the step down you get one as the hull bumps out. I can't really tell about the hull shape but I don't think you get one at the stern either.

Actually there is a ridge there where the armor belt is located. If you are looking at the red pinstripe there is a rigde there. The armor belt goes right to the end in the stern as well.It tapers at the very end. The hull is that well made. Picture #4 you can see the raised ridge right at the bow in the impenetrable bow area. This goes back to the end of the step deck. A stringer can go there as it is the armor belt. German ww1 ship were heavily armored compared to thier British counterparts.

Bob you can see the Konig under the PHOTOS section "MY FIRST SHIPS" Page 1 shows Konig port side view and a port side aft view. You can clearly see the armor belt from Bow to Stern.

UPDATE! I cut out the hull yesterday. I still need to cut the armored stringer on one side. The red pinstripe 1/8 tape peeled off completely. I didn't have time to restripe it again as I was engulfed in dust and I was losing daylight. I cut out the panels close to the stringer but I will trim it up and complete it. I will post the pics tomorrow.
