Ooh, looks nice - what kind of printer are you using?

by the way, you have that rectangular platform on the back of the forward ss backward, the extended corner is supposed to be the top of a staircase, but I didn't bother modeling the stairs.

Also, depending on how the positioning of your turrets works out, you might want to adjust the length of the platforms on the center bit. I think I got it "right", but that may be subject to things like fiberglass hull dimensions, turrets/barbettes, etc.

Thank you for the heads up on those parts positioning. I don’t have anything glued together yet, so I guess I got lucky there…..lol. I am making several sets ( probably 5 or 6) to give to some of my friends that wanted a set, I just asked them to help with material cost, which is roughly close to $15. I hope that is all right with you? It’s not my intention to try to sell them for anykind of profiteering. I really feel like you did an excellent job with that kit, and I especially liked the way you keyed the mid section to fit the fore and aft pieces. I am rather fond of my printer, it was my birthday present from my wife, 2 years ago this coming June. I really just think she got tired of my complaining (and some possible swearing) at my Ender and my Crane dual. She allowed me to pick it out, so I chose the Qidi X-CF Pro. It came with the Carbon fiber head installed (high heat) and then the regular head for PLA and TPU and the likes for lower temp filaments. The heads are direct drive extruder units, and takes only about 5 to 10 minutes to change out. Thanks again for the great file kit on the Nassau, it is truly nice work

Glad you're enjoying it. I did discover that there's a slight dimensional error in the aft pieces, and as a result, the air duct doesn't quite line up correctly. I've fixed it (one small piece), but haven't uploaded it yet. I'll try to get that done later this evening.

That’s funny that you said that, because when I was fitting parts together, I was reversing that particular part 180 degrees thinking I had it backwards….lol. It’s actually not too bad. The upper most piece in that fit, could be shaped with little effort to match it out. I don’t think it is even .30 of a mm discrepancy? All in all still a hands down, excellent job. In having some conversation earlier with Xanther, he was talking about churning out some turrets? That would round out a very good top side kit for the Nassau. It’s just really cool to see you guys put that much effort into it, with the end results showing good fruit! I have ordered the Nassau hull and a Texas/Florida hull from Tim over at Shipsahoy. So my next adventure will be to find all the parts for that one……lol.

You might possibly find this a little humorous, but I was reading about your endeavors on your web page. The person who has introduced me to this hobby is Eric Noble. He has come over here to my place a couple of times now and has been explaining and showing me the inner workings of setting up for warship combat battling.

Hokay, so I've updated the STLs in the resource section, no idea when/how long it will take to update them. As noted in the comments, AftSS4 is the piece that needs to be reprinted to fix the alignment issue. The other changes are to make the aft conning tower/rangefinder pin more convenient (for me). I also included barbette and turret STLs, for everyone's convenience.

As for sales, etc., I don't care. If I want money, I have a job. This is for fun, and I don't want to mix hobbies and money, because then it becomes a job, and that's no fun.

Besides, when people give you money for something, suddenly they acquire this thing called "expectations". I don't want to deal with those.

Anyway, enjoy, and if we should ever meet, feel free to buy me dinner or something. But don't give me money.

    :p

Thank you! Thank you for taking the extra time and interest in that file set. I will update my downloaded set and run some of those parts tonight. Printer is tied up for the next 11 hours, currently……..lol
Thx again Commodore, and it would be my pleasure to buy dinner if we get to meet somewhere in the future.
