I was trying to post this to see who is in the San Diego/ Orange County area that builds RC warships?!?! I went to the mission bay RC Boat pond and all I found was about 6 guys from the Argonauts, but none of them seemed like they were into the 1/144 scale fast fun stuff. Mostly tugboats and sailboats, they were also Very Nice to answer the questions I had. Well anyways I wanted to Buy the Strikemodels Northampton kit to start my first boat, but I also don't want to be the only guy at the pond interested in the 1/144 sale warships. I don't mind cruising around at all with the Argonauts but wanted to see if there were more Warship guys in the area before I pull the trigger on this. ( I already ordered a radio lol) also I have emailed rob wood once and also the director of the Argonauts also emailed him for me but still haven't heard anything. It's just not the type of response I expected when I enthusiastically want to help and start in this hobby... Thanks -Paul-
I don't know if you want to do big gun or fast gun, but there is SCRAP in your area, and I think it is a fast gun club. I live on the other side of the United States, but since nobody had responded to you, I decided to help you. I hope this helps! Link:SCRAP - Southern California Region Attack Patrol
SCRAP is fast gun and in that region. Off the top of my head I think @Renodemona , @ship crazy and @radollar2000 might be in the area.
Sending you a message with my contact info. I am in San Diego. I am one of a few who have actively participated in fast gun and big gun.
SCRAPer here too. We are fast gun and battle at Chino Reservoir in the IE. The club website has good info. We also have a mailing list that you can join (and the details of how to get on there currently elude me, sorry). SCRAP - Southern California Region Attack Patrol
