It lets the water drain easily. i don't know how the camera managed that feat of flipping it upside down.
Cool, why not try the foamy stuff? It is at Michaels and I have the contact cement to glue it together. When I get heme, my test pieces will have been glued for 8 weeks. If it is still stuck good ( notice my awesome gramatic skills ) and no melting after that length of time, I figure it should it should be good. Do you have plans? If so, copies of the SS parts will be a big help. Staples did copies of Scharnhorst plans (3 pages) for under $20. J
Stephen worked on a superstructure kit for the CA/TN. The most printable thing he said about it, between cursing, is that it's the Winchester Mystery House of ships. I think there ended up to be about 13 layers of superstructure on that beast.
Stephen was amused by the tennagato remark. A shameless plug, we do have the foam superstructure kit available for the Tennessee if you're interested. He says there are 14 pieces of foam for that, though not as many levels, since a couple of them are on the same level.
The blue stuff is actually dollar store foam mat.it is a dense foam. it is the cheap children s floor mat
The superstructure has just been shipped by Strike models. Once that arrives it is time to get back to work on the Tennessee
Getting more inspired with the warmer weather. It is the 2am end times that are killer. If I am lucky to finish at 2am by the time I go to bed it is past 4am. sort of rules out getting up early.
The superstructure from Strike Models arrived today. Very nice work but the amount of parts. This should be fun. So Curt what did you use to glue your's together?
