If it is sunny tommorow then the Tennessee will go for a run. Need to water test it. I should have the gun directors and platform installed this evening.

Today was a good day. I had float test and run this afternoon. I had it out for about 30 minutes this afternoon. It is taking on some water but otherwise it ran well. So once I got home I filled it up with water and marked off where the water is leaking out. The good thing is that it is not the balsa itself as that is dry but where it attached to the hull. Some bondo putty should fix that. I will say she looked good on the water. It was tested with batteries and bottle. Next test will have the regulator. It still might need some additional weight in the back but we will see later this week when I get it out again.

bondo absorbs water, be sure to seal it or use a different product.

Plumber's goop is also good for sealing that area, and waterproof.

The bondo will be applied, sanded and then painted.

Once the minor repairs are done I will start working on securing the turrets. Then I can finish the paint job.

Bondo was applied last night to areas where I had an issue with leakage. Some panels needed a bit of glueing down. Paint probably this evening.

Some panels had areas at the bottom where water was leaking in. I found out when I put water in the boat. It wasnt major but enough to take on more water than I would like. It was a total of about 12 spots total.

Did your silkspan overlap the bottom edges of the panels?

They did but I had to cut it away to put more bondo at the bottom. It looked there was some small gaps where I could see water coming out. I figure it was in some spots where there was sik span overlap.

Fantastic second run with the Tennessee. The leakage issue was resolved. Very little water on the inside. The inside was 90% dry.

Yay for solving the leakage issue! That's near and dear to my heart; Lil Scharnie nearly always has more water coming in from leaks than from damage :)

Resheeted this weekend, hoping that fixed it :)

After Fridays run I had a small bit of water in the back. The hull was 80% dry on the inside. I am not sure if the small came from reversing with part of the back hatch opened.

Waterline tape was put on. Looking better. The secondaries were now added. I fixed a small issue of the back hatch not quite seating properly. Tomorrow will be turrets. Once they are done then the dummy barrels and paint.

And of course re-install the "armour". It is shower curtain and it worked well at IRCWCC NATS in 2010
