Hey BB26 after I epoxied my stuffing tubes in I didn't like the way it looked coming out of the bottom of the hull so I went to Lowes and found an epoxy putty that gives a really smooth appearance. Granted, it doesn't add any functionality to the boat but it does look nice.[IMG]
so the epoxy putty is the whitish grey stuff just forward of where the stuffing tubes come out

Next time just tape the outside of the hull and do the epoxy from the inside the tape then forms a mold for the epoxy on the outside.

Here are some more pics of the build. The motors are mounted. I am planning on using some foam mat as water channelling. There are some possible layout options for the battery and bottle.

I suggest turning the bottle around and moving it back towards the batteries if possible. That way, the ship won't change trim as the bottle gets lighter during the battle.

Further update. The rear subdeck has been installed as well as the rudder post. The next step will be to install the main subdeck.

The front subdeck was attached and resined in. In a few hours it should be dry

The sub deck is fully resinbned in. I will be using the sintra deck to make sure I have a template for when I cut the wooden deck.

Looking good! I also like them when they are skeletons still, but have some of the junk in them. Can't wait to see her with her top on! ;)

Hey Paul. Nice work it's looking great. Your are becoming a builder. I see a big difference with Sodak and your work here. Keep it up Captain. BTW I won't be attacking you at NATS.

The big difference is that the Sodak i was attempting to overcome other work for my first build. This one is mine from just a cut hull. I think it is progressing well.

I am hoping to start some electrical done this week. My hope for the week is to use the sintra deck to mark the precut on the deck hatches. There will only be two hatches. Once they are cut and installed then to start wiring the electrical.

Paul Tom Cromwell is coming over tomorrow to work on Bis or his shio the HMS Erebus. Tom is trying to decide on bringing his IOWA to St.Johns and build it for 2011 NATS or get the Pennsalvania or get my Konig Kit and buid that instead. Were going to test fit the Missouri hull in his car and see how it fits for transport. I'll get the info for your throttle set up as well.

Thanks Curt. If I read the diagram correctly. The +ve of the battery goes to the NO position. The -ve goes to the NC position. And each C goes to the motors. The motors are wired as the +ve of Port connects to the -ve of starboard for one C position. the other c position goes to a wiring of the +vs of starboard connected to the -ve of port motor.

Yeppers. i am using a mag switch. Easier to replace should it short out. I have battlers instructions on it but I am not sure how it attaches to the motors. Any pics will be helpful.
