Question. When you stick the plan deck levels to the wood do you guys remove it after or do you just paint over it. ?
I stick mine on with a glue stick, it generally comes off pretty easily, and sandpaper gets the little bit that doesn't.
I use Elmer's glue to put them on. They generally come off pretty easily. But if they don't want to come off, just dampen them. Mikey
I have seen folks glue the paper on the decks a long time ago. I thought it looked like a neat way to go about it. But I always liked drawing out my own decks after making sure that everything was correct. That is how I did my Hood. But that takes a lot of time, and it seems that I do not have that kind of time now-a-days, so if I want to get to build the occasional ship in-between maintaining my fleet, then I am having to come up with some tricks to get the work done in less time. This works out well, and is rather easy. Just make sure that the drawings are the correct size. Mikey
Mike, What color grey are you using? Our two Frenchy's might as well match when they meet on the water. Steve
Windows are cut. Deck edge is cut, and glued in place. Shafts are in. Rudder is in. Color is Behr exterior flat. Gray area # 4560 It will be fun running with another destroyer. Mikey
