I've seen we have harbor battles were enemy teams shoot off small targets in a "harbor". Two questions: 1) What kind of targets have we found works best? 2) Since harbors are a foot or so away from shore, what is the best way to replace those targets after they get shot?
Ive seen small clay pigeons, dowels with magnets, 3d printed squares, and aluminum soda cans. Generally after the time is up or battle ends you can just one foot in water set new targets up.
last year, the docks at Nats were 2' by 8' (I think) sheets of foam, with slots cut for approx. 2" clay targets. I forget how thick they were, probably 1" thick. These floated a few feet from shore, so ships could attack and defend them. Gotta be careful about placement though, paying attention to where shots that miss, or shots that ricochet, will end up. amazon.com/Silipull-Biodegradable-High-Visibility-Throwers-Practice/dp/B0GH1Q4T13/ref=sr_1_9?crid=25JYGDBEKUS1O&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.7ExKviGGYf9pmX7CMuXsNqTJKvd9RsDCD_V7tUx6B_DWtIHgipbTqQyKuFc_5DYUeeMephio_olnslSycyE6zi8DLMMgxhVRKLG8__G9RUvnmJRNF0Xj6h3OOHy23Gz0pSIp4g2JJUuthcKYLCEJ20__b-S3SQg20kpdffkGwCQxEvHIPnCWP9A3RrdtJnAyblSNLG6hb2-rLJ6q4S2f9Dr0Fn6z3xvkJcLyeQMN8X9pfvCA0W5_tfNBZnozd43EqwVTsT4k0os6wZ8glMkeCFnd2HWG_8G8jgTTPbUDess.Wjz-UAIW9M59dA9WYjknLNriFMfgFKpgiCJ_T8Xo2vI&dib_tag=se&keywords=clay+target&qid=1775451558&sprefix=clay+targ%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-9
