Yep, it has some trim problems. :whistling: The Nagato should balance at a point approximately underneath the last of the forward facing casemate guns, mine is about 3-4" behind that. It took about 4 lbs of ballast to get it leveled out, which put it in the 10% overage alowance at about 33 lbs. I'm in the process of moving the watertight box and electronics to the bow, and I will see what else I have to do from there. It is a very stable cannon platform compared to my last couple of ships, and I don't want to do anthing to mess that up like stacking the batteries on top of each other. It also didn't seem to roll too much when sinking, which is different than most of the Nagatos I have seen in the past.
The cannons have clippard maximatic solenoids on the bottom. I used them to replace the cap in the bottom of the interrupter. I drilled a gas port in the side of the valve body to divert air to the magazine. I did it that way mostly to tie the valves to the cannon securely since they were going to rotate. I did not measure any gains in bb velocity versus my normal cannons.
As compact as they are, they are a little too bulky to allow the cannon to elevate by pivoting inside the barbette like I would prefer, and are too tight a fit to get in and out of the barbette easily. I'm working on smaller replacements with a slightly different overall design. It might be a while before I post anything more about them.
