Yea, because i have that just kicking around. I have enough problems paying for my class 3 cruiser with no job, let alone a 36k, full time lifestyle.

No I have not Mike, I have your sealer, but still need to do the 5 barrels, just have not had much time to work on any boats the last few weeks, life keeps getting in the way. Just the little that you see I have done on the ID, is all I have managed the last couple of weeks.
I sent you one asking for your address again, I can do the 5 barrels in a couple of hours, and get it all shipped off, but never heard anything from you.

I checked out Servo City's site and the stuff there is pretty good. I will be going to this site to get the stuff for rotating turrets. Thanks again for the reference.

No Problem Curt, their prices are not to bad either.

Well I got tomorrow off, so I plan on finishing up both rotates, and on Sat at Rick's I will be looking at fitting some guns and the CO2 system. Jeff L told me it may get confusing firing the guns, knowing which one to fire. But I have come up with a solution for it, so the left stick movement will always fire the port gun, either the forward or aft gun, and the right will fire the starboard guns.

Finally back on line, came home Sat from Rick's and the computer was dead. Had to replace the hardrive, and the 4 gig of memory chips to get it back up working.

Well I did finish both rotates, had them both hooked up at Rick's, and both of them running together at the same time, looked sweet. We also finished Rick's dual Super Scharny rotates, and they are working great, but he still wants trip sterns, and Don and I keep saying dual sides will be better. We will be making the guns this Sat for all 3 ships, 2 ID, and the Scharny, so I will take some pics then.

When making the rotate, did you have to do anything special to elevate the barrel as it crosses the deck (or the turret in front of it)?

The rotate is finished, but the gun has not been installed yet. I was going to do what I saw Charlie do before, add a clear peice of plastic sticking up from the front of the barbett, just enough so that the gun rides over it, and clears the forward turret. And have a Rubber band pull the gun back down on the other side. Just keeping it simple as possible.

This is off topic David but what's a super Scharny? How can it have dual side mounts, Scharny isn't long enough for two of them and doesn't have enough turrets, unless the stern mount is a full rotate and shifts from side to side.

My guess is the sidemounts go from opposite sides, so if A turret on port side is out, you can swing A to starboard and B to port. That way if you run out of one gun, keeps the enemy guessing. Right now if I know your port sidemount is out, guess which side I will pull up on and let you have it? :)

In the MWC rules it states,

    H. Warship Classes - 7b) Ships over 720': These ships may carry a maximum of three sidemount cannons with a maximum of two firing cannons covering a specific side. When two cannons are firing into the same quadrant, they must be in separate turrets. All quadrants may be covered.

So we have 2 sterns mounted, and one in each forward turret. They both face Port, and when he hits ch 6, they both rotate to the starboard side together. Scharny is 771 ft long. That way its 2 side mounts against one. Who will blink first.

Its Rick's boat, and he has been fighting Don and me for months about it, but the Scharny's just does not turn well enough, or have the hull volume to play even guns with the American big boys, so we told him to give this a try. If it does not work out for him, he can always just move the guns around.

In the process of building it, I have kept John S informed about what we are doing, since he has a Scharny, and he nicknamed it Super Scharny, and the name has stuck.

Not sure if this is allowed in the IRC rules, I have not looked to tell you the truth.

A very cool idea, I also have a Scharny and am always looking for cool ideas. I believe the rule is pretty much the same in IRC and Treaty too. ;)
I don't know why you say Scharny doesn't turn well, mine turns in his own length. I have a video of Scharny turning inside a WW1 Prince Eugen at CANNATS last year. Thanks for the details, I now have more stuff to think about!!

Just how you set them up, but if you go along side a NC, it will always stern you, due to the shorter lenght, and wider beam. It to can turn in its own lenght.

I do not think Any Sharny will out turn David's PE. I am curious for pictures right now of the ID and Ricks Sharny.
