Here are 3 new pics of her. All I need to add are the deck hold downs, and somthin to hold the speed control, and receiver in place. But will be testing her tomorrow, hopefully I remember to bring my camera.
You can see I added the heads hanging off the back. Since the one is a bit wider than the other, I'm assuming its the officers john, and the narrow one is the enlisted john.

I would guess the opposite. Only a few officers and quite a few enlisted men. The crew would need more space.

I was thinking the same thing; lots more enlisted schmuckatellis on board :)

    Looking good, Dave!

Is that the Traxxas xl2.5 ESC I see in there? I've got one that I tried to use in a ship but had nothing but problems with the brake mode (and it being picky about neutral throttle position) when trying to go into reverse. Has your experience been more successful?

It ran very well. Rick and Don were both laughing very hard most the time it was in the water. I of course forgot to bring my camera, dang it. It kind of skids thru a turn, I guess due to the flat bow.

Now the speed control, I do not like it, and will be changing it out. My radio has a spring on the throttle so its self centering, and I did not have a issue with that, but the break function cannot be turned off. So going forward is fine, but when going into reverse, you pull the stick back, let it center, then have to pull back a second time before it will go into reverse. I have a Banebots I will put into it, and try it again next Sat. Maybe I can remember to bring my camera.

Yes, that's exactly the thing I hate about that ESC. Glad its not just me who has issues with that. I normally run my throttle on the non-spring stick so its a huge pain for me.

Dave's got the two outhouses.... but I think he needs the small boat cranes! :) I've got a spare small boat in foam if you want it, Dave :)
