Here are some pics of the sheeting. It still has to have the gaps filled wit bondo as well as getting silkspan added to the outside.

Another view.[IMG]Most of the balsa was purchased this year. I needed to use a small amount I prepped last year.

Mostly progress today with one step back this evening. Yesterday I managed to get the gaps filled with Bondo putty. Today I sanded and silkspanned the outside of the balsa. Once that was dry I started to paint. One side was done. However when I put the ship on it's side to paint I did notice a hose came out with a quick disconnect on it. It got trapped on the underside and put a hole in the balsa. So I had to cut out a panel this evening and glue it back in. The bondo has just been applied. So tommorow it will be sand, silk span and hopefully I get a chance to paint.

So this morning I managed to sand and silk span. This evening it is paint. The green hull on the otherside was done a few hours ago. I have just done the grey. While I am letting that dry I am looking at the shot off parts and I am now re-attaching to the superstructure.

The waterline tape was applied last night. So the hull has been painted. It is now to work on repairing the superstructure. Internally all I have to do is replace 1 servo. I just have to get some time to tool dip some servos. Once that is done then it will be to disassemble the regulator and check the cannons.

He Paul. Faye asks where is the pink waterline? Hers will have the 2nd and 3rd turrets pink and a pink waterline. Tom's face cringed when she mentioned that. You know it is supposed to have a pink waterline. heh.

Looks good. I expected a lot more to be shot off but I I believe there was a crewmember that was climbing one of the smokestack ladders. I guess he was either shot away or he just bailed out. Hopefully the shark that was on your bow didn't leap from your ship and go in after him.

    Good work so far Admiral.

The guy on the stake I think was shot off along with the ladder. I will check the otherside when I get home. What did you use to glue the wiring together. I think I will pick some up from Maritime Hobbies and try to recreate some of the wiring on it. It is just a fair number of smaller stuff that was shot off. Thankfully i did manage to recover some of the stuff shot off..

I think the shark ornament you had on the bow absorbed a lot of stray bbs. I used a small drop of CA with kicker to secure the aerials.

So some more detail has been added and all servos tested. Only one to be replaced. Next is to check the cannons.

tonight I will examine the cannons. If they are good I will pressurize the co2 system and test all servos with the radio. If that passe the the PE will get some touch up paint and I will consider it done.
