I will give that a try. I think I may be doing a fair bit of hull cutting on friday. I hope to start Espana's cuts and finish the cut on the graf spee.

Looks like you'll be able to bring most of your fleet in your car and bring it pondside. For me and the Missus it's a day event at the pond complete with Barbecue. That way I can bring more ships enjoy them all or the ones I can actually fit in the car what with the wife, dog and barbecue equipment.

The pump test went well today. A nice good stream. I tested moving the hull to see how water would flow. So I had list to one side and then the other. Front to back. And checked to see if there were any leaks. No leaks anywhere. Next series of tests will wait until about early May as I then want to test on the water.

I am pleased at the pace of the PE's refit. It it is warm enough this weekend I might take her down to the grove for a bit of a sail. It wont be going far out as the water will be cold but just enough to test to make sure everything is running. Otherwise I am going to wait until may to fully sail her. I do have the firing box so It might be good to test cannons while I have the chance.

Test it in the tub to make sure you have no control issues. Do you have a back up ship ready to retrieve the model just in case?

I dont have a back up ship to go out and retrieve the model. The back up ship is "under construction".

The PE had her first run for the year at Graham's Grove. The ship performed well. It was a nice sunny and warm day. The trim looked good. No issues with stability. Very little water entered the hull. Nothing that had to be pumped out. I gave it a good run for about 20 minutes. Overall I was pleased with how she ran. The next set of tests will be to make sure the cannons fire. So it will probably go to banshee paintball this week for a bottle fill. Tommorow I might try and get the South Carolina on the water for it's first run.

The PE had it's second run of the week. An issue popped up where one of the rudders would heal over and not correct itself. Issue was resolved. It ran well this evening. I was only using one battery. But in combat it will the second one.
