Hey Monk, what a ship! Its looking amazing. where did ur shakedown run occur? and who has the liberty ship? both look good. Boomer
The Shake down run was in a top secrete location code named NAMCOPOOL some where off the coast of New England sorry that’s all I can tell you unless you have clearance. [] the liberty ship belongs to and was built by my 10 year old (with a little help from Dad) thanks guys but it wont be long before she is full of battle scars [^]
While on maneuvers during her Shake down run the vigilant crew of CA69 spotted and subsequently shot down an axis spy plane flying over area known as NAMCOPOOL The crew was questioned and turned over to supreme Allied headquarters. Some of this footage was recovered from a camera found in the debris field and Allied fleet Enjoy [] Video Property of: supreme Allied headquarters NAMCOPOOL 00169 Visit this site
You've done a nice job and produced a beautiful ship, except for the odd barrel lengths and angles (they sorta spoil the look). Perhaps painting the ends of the working barrels matt black or grey might conceal the differing lengths?
I always thought the same thing about the "spoiled look" with some of the Big Gun boats that have turrets that won't set on the barbett because of the guns. For me, I alway thought that if I were to do Big Gun, I would look at 1/120 th scale. Heck, If I had to do small gun all over it would be 1/120 th scale. Things would look much better. I still say you did a great job Powder.
I dont think any allied captains will devulge the location of this Bay of Namcopool, so i think that u are safe for now. And ur 10-year-old did a fantastic job on that liberty ship, it looks amazing. And if i do buy a hull from u, i have no doubt that it'll b one of the best, its the rest of the ship that may not b so good, esp if i dont have plans. any way, compliments again, and good luck in july.
You know Getty, I'd be willing to bet more Baltimore class ships ended the war still floating at their original waterlines then did German battleships...
Isn't the Baltimore class allowed triple sterns?? I thought is was a 3.5 unit ship, why not use triple sterns??
