    Stokomoto,
I can't imagine trying to get two 6volt 12 amp batteries in you VDT. I was pressed for room using just one of them. I like the fact that I can change batteries between sorties. The smaller battlecruiser still get the same amp our that your getting.

I guess I was hoping to have the same capacity that I setup in PE. But I overlooked the fact that the wing mounts would cause issues. PE was easy due to the turrets on the centerline. I can live with this np. VDT will be fought aggressively. I haven't ran a model on a single battery since 1989 so this should be interesting for me.

More progress made on VDT. Waterchannelling is installed. I used the same closed cel foam that I used in the Roma build. Battery bracing installed, Rudder platform and servo tray cut out and placed in the hull for fitting. Test fitted the cannons again, plenty of clearance. Test installed the servos and plenty of room there. So far so good. My VDT rudders came in the other day. They seem quite large. How big are they supposed to be?

Slowly but surely. I've had some setbacks with it but they been ironed out. I'm hoping to get the decks sealed and the hatches cut out next Tues and Wed.

I notice that on some VDT models the top of the deck does not extend to the edge of the hull but follows the indentations. The plans I have looking at the ship overhead you don't see the indentations. I was wondering if that was an error on the plan but the more I researched VDT models on the web I found many showing that the deck extends out over the top of the casemate turrets. I was debating whether to make another deck and extend over the casemate turrets or just leave it and show the casemate indents along the midships.
Not sure what to do there.

Pleased to announce I got my Spectrum radio yesterday. I also picked up a large sheet of birch plywood for the decks. These will be layed over the Sintra and resined to it. The Sintra will be resin to the main subdeck. Then I can scribe the planking and then seal it. Got my concrete sealer stuff that djanier uses and some industrial strength velcro. Now just need a nice warm day... ahh.. there it is....drat I got to go to work now.

I think this is up to your personal preference. While I think that to be "correct" the deck does extend over the casemates it isnt really a big deal. The deck extends over them on my wooden vdt but not on my fiberglass vdt and nobody has ever said anything or cared that I know of.
